Detailed Itinerary for 7 Days Uganda Wildlife and Primates Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, embark to the journey with your All Uganda Safaris guide to Murchison falls national park travelling along Kampala Bombo highway, along the way you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for black and white rhino trekking.

After a massive trekking of Rhinos, go for lunch in Masindi Hotel. After a great meal continue with the journey to Murchison falls national Park. Upon arrival at the park, check in to the lodge for diner and overnight.

Day 2: An Early Morning Boat Cruise On the River Nile and Evening Game Drive

After a hefty breakfast at your lodge, head for a morning boat cruise on the Nile River. Along the Nile you will be able to see a number of wildlife including a number of numerous bird species such as kingfishers and the shoe bill storks, you will start your ride from the downstream to the upstream at the foot of the Murchison falls. 

After the great ride at the boat you will hike to the top of the falls as you will be able to spot the vast part of the park and largest concentration of wildlife.

Retire for lunch as you get ready for an evening game drive at the northern section of the park where you will spot a variety of bird species and a number of wild animals like water bucks, leopards, lions, warthogs, hyenas, elephants, buffalos, hartebeests among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park 

Wake up early in the morning and start the journey to Kibale national park travelling western part of Uganda in Fort Portal District. Lunch break in Fort Portal town, after lunch embark to the journey to Kibale national park.

Upon arrival check in to your reserved lodge and later head for a community walk in the Bigodi wetlands for photography and view the breathtaking scenery. Retire to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Nature Walk

After having breakfast early in the morning, report to the Headquarters (Kanyanchu Tourist Centre) for briefing about the rules and regulations for tracking chimpanzees.

After briefing enter into the thick forest of Kibale to search for the delightful apes, however the track gives you chances to spot other wild creatures and a number of numerous bird species.

 After spotting the chimps you will be allowed one hour with them as you take photography and watch as they feed, play and swinging from one branch to another, back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch you will head for a Bigodi wetland nature walk where you will view a number of numerous bird species including and other primate species. Retire to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After a morning breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park for Gorilla trekking. As you en-route to the park you will witness a great country side, scenic landscape, the western Rift valley, and  the Baboon forest.

Upon arrival at the park, check- in to your reserved lodge for rest as you prepare for Gorilla trekking the following day.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Experience

After a heavy breakfast at your lodge, you will head to the park Headquarter for Mountain Gorilla trekking briefing.

After the briefing you will enter into the thick Bwindi Impenetrable forest for the search of the giant Apes, once you locate the Mountain Gorillas you will be allowed one hour with them for interactions and photography. Back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch you will have a guided community walk with the local people on the Batwa trail in the Bwindi impenetrable national park. After the great experience with the local people you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Travel to Kampala with A Stopover at The Equator

After a morning breakfast at the lodge, check out and embark to the journey to Kampala capital city with a stopover at the Equator for photography and historical stories.

After a great adventure at the Equator continue with the journey to Kampala city for your departure flight.
