Detailed itinerary for the 7 Days Uganda and Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe Airport, transfer to the hotel in Kampala

When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will meet your driver guide. Get a warm welcome into the Pearl of Africa, then briefing on the entire trip and next, you will be transferred to the hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Drive from Kampala through Masaka to Bwindi

Meet your Uganda driver guide once again after an early morning breakfast, after, drive from Kampala to Bwindi, taking the Southwestern route. Pass through different towns before you get to Bwindi including Masaka, Mbarara and en-route stopover point will be Equator crossing and for lunch at Igongo cultural center.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park will be your last point to stop and this is where over 459 of the existing 1063 mountain gorillas live.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Batwa cultural visit

After breakfast, get to any of the Bwindi gorilla trekking regions for briefing about rules and regulations. Next, you will be divided into different groups of 8 people and each group will be allocated an experienced park guide.

The actual trekking starts at 8:00am, how long it takes can’t be predicted but from 2-6 hours, depending on the location of gorillas and your speed.

A close encounter with these apes will take 1 hour and after, walk back to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will have the best of Batwa cultural treat, learn in depth about their cultures, traditions, have great entertainment and so much more.

Day 4: Fly to Entebbe from Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, connect to Arusha Tanzania

After breakfast, leave the lodge for Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip. Take 1-2 hours flying to Entebbe Airport where you will connect to Arusha in Tanzania. Have a warm welcome from Tanzania driver guide and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Travel to Serengeti National Park Tanzania from Arusha

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, after, drive to Serengeti National Park – this is a journey of 5 to 6 hours. En-route, have the best of picturesque landscape in the Northern circuit, and arrive early for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Enjoy a fully Serengeti Game Viewing (wildebeest migration, big five)

A full day game viewing in Serengeti National Park begins early after breakfast. Leave with lunch packed and expect sights of diverse wildlife including big five, wildebeest, antelopes, giraffes, birds and more.

Enjoy wilderness lunch, then proceed to the wildebeest migration trail for breathtaking view of 1000s of wildebeest, gazelles, elands and more. Drive back to the accommodation in the evening, relax and spend a night.
