Your one day trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking Tour will commence with a tasty cup of tea or coffee.
Later, leave your hotel for 3-4 hours’ journey in a 4×4 Safari Van/Land Cruiser on Kampala-Luwero-Nakasongola route. Branch off from Nakitoma about 7kms to get to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary early enough for rhino tracking experience with the site tour guide.
On a rhino trek, expect to spot not only the white rhinos but also antelopes, birds and a lot more. You will enjoy one hour of face to face with rhinos, capture their pictures, learn their behaviors and return from your foot walk experience.
After, your Uganda safari guide will bring you back to Kampala but lunch will be offered to you at Kabalega Dinners. On your way back to Kampala, there are some nice pineapples and oranges to grab when you get to Luwero. Later, drive to Kampala for drop off to your hotel or place of residence.

About Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district of Uganda just 176KM north of Kampala city. This wildlife ranch is conservation project that was spear headed by both Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority to re-introduce rhinos in Uganda.
The rhinoceros found in the sanctuary are the endangered “southern white rhinos” and this is the only place to trek them in the wild while in Uganda.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary has become a popular for not only Rhino Trekking, but also Shoebill stork Trekking and Canoe Riding, Night Walk, Nature Walk, camping, Relaxation and Bird Watching.
The sanctuary is also a home to several wildlife species such as Uganda Kobs, Bushbuck, Reed bucks, Rich bucks and primates such as Colobus and Vervet monkeys and Mongoose.
