Detailed Itinerary for the 14 days Uganda Safari;

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda! Arrive in Entebbe International Airport.

Arrive Entebbe International Airport with your International flight, clear customs and immigrations then connect with your professional All Uganda Safaris guide/driver for drop-off at your Hotel in Kampala. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Road trip from Entebbe/Kampala to Murchison falls National Park.

Following a delicious breakfast, prepare to hit the road for a 6-7 hours’ drive to Murchison falls National Park (about 300 kilometers away). Along the way, we pass through spectacular sceneries of the sweeping savannah plains of Northern Uganda.

Stop for Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district and have another stop for lunch at Kabalega Diners before continuing nonstop to the Park.

Murchison falls National Park is situated in the north-western part of the country and is so far the largest Park at 3840 square kilometers.

The Park shelters about 76 mammal species, 451 bird species and boasts of magnificent views that provide photography fanatics endless opportunities for magnificent shots.

Day 3: Wildlife Safari in Murchison falls National Park

Arise early for the real surprise in Murchison falls National Park. Afterwards, start the game drive through the different wildlife-rich areas of the Park with occasional sights of;

Lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, serval cats, jackals, hartebeests, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks as well as common sights of Rothschild giraffes, warthogs, Olive baboons, Uganda Kobs, vervet monkeys and many others.

Make occasional stops for photography and have lunch at the same place of lodging. Views of some animals will be enjoyed at the comfort of the Lodge.

After your sumptuous lunch, arrive at Paraa jetty in the early afternoon for another riveting opportunity to watch aquatic wildlife especially Hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as elephants, Uganda Kobs and others drinking water from the banks of the River.

Don’t miss out the hike to the top of the falls for more views before settling for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Road trip from Murchison falls to Kibale Forest National Park

Early in the morning, start your day with breakfast then the drive from Murchison falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park, a 7-hour drive to the west.

Drive along the breathtaking Albertine Escarpment to Fort Portal Town is full of jaw-dropping views, from rural homesteads, grassy plains, to the snow-capped peaks of Rwenzori Mountains.

Continue to one of the eateries in the Tourism City for a hot meal then keep driving until Kibale Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking adventure in the lush Kibale Forest

After breakfast, you will spend your time in Kibale Forest enjoying the fascinating chimpanzee trekking adventure, in search of one of the habituated chimpanzee communities.

Explore the Park’s dense wet tropical rainforest, the semi-deciduous dry tropical forest, open spaces and even savannah woodlands.

While chimpanzees are the main focus on this day, Kibale forest won’t disappoint with sights of forest elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys and many others.

For birders, you will see numerous species such as great blue Turaco while the lucky ones will see the rare green-breasted pitta. One hour is allocated for watching and photography once the endangered chimpanzees are found.

After a delicious lunch, spend the afternoon at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, for another experience when different primate and wetland bird species are encountered.

Day 6: Thrilling tours of Semliki National Park.

Head out early in the morning to Semliki National Park, situated about 1 hour/67 kilometers. Drive through the cool and breathtaking forest boundary to reach Ntebeko gate on time for briefing and the start of your adventure.

Start your tour with a guided game drive where if lucky encounter the African bush and forest elephants, mongoose, buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks, common warthogs, Topi and Uganda Kobs among others.

Continue to drive towards the reserved accommodation facility for lunch then head for the guided tour to Sempaya hot springs-the trademark of this remote Park.

Day 7: Road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and evening game drive.

On day 7 of our 14 Days Uganda Safari, we get a 2-3 hours’ road transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park is followed by a delicious breakfast at the Safari Lodge.

The drive is marked by beautiful views, roads well maintained hence making it one of the most unforgettable road trips. Arrive in the afternoon, in time for lunch and later relaxation for the remainder of the day.

Day 8: Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today, we get the chance to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, referred as the medley of wonders for its 95 mammal species, over 600 bird species and breathtaking landscapes that cant be witnessed in other Parks of Uganda.

14 Days Uganda Safari

Start your day early with a hot cup of tea/coffee then simply start driving through the vast savannah plains while encountering Uganda Kobs, Topis, Elephants, lions, Defassa waterbucks, warthogs, Hippos and sometimes lions, spotted hyenas and leopards. The hot sunshine means it is time to return back to the Lodge for brunch and refreshment.

After an amazing lunch, return back into the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park, this time for the boat cruise in Kazinga Channel.

Be at Mweya Peninsula before 2:00pm because it’s when the adventure starts and at this time, make sure that your camera is well sorted to start capturing all these beautiful moments. Moments of Nile crocodiles and Hippos lazing along the banks as well as elephants and buffaloes drinking or bathing can’t be missed during this activity.

Day 9: Transfer to incredible Bwindi Impenetrable Forest from Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy your last breakfast in this Park and prepare for transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a 4-hout drive south of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is where your gorilla trekking experience will be enjoyed and is known for sheltering almost half the World’s population of mountain gorillas.

Day 10: The long awaited Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Spend day 10 of your 14 Days Uganda safari exploring Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in a guided forest walk to see one of the Word’s sought-after creatures.

Make sure that you have fueled your stomach with a hearty breakfast before moving to the Park Headquarters for briefing. The real adventure will begin by 8:00am, by slowly following the lead of the Ranger guide who creates trails through the impenetrable forest.

This lasts 1-5 hours or even longer of but once gorilla nests are spotted, you will breathe a sigh of relief. You will strictly be allowed to spend only one hour which you will use to take photos, observe and even ask questions.

Return for lunch at the Lodge and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure-unwind at the Lodge while being treated to riveting views of undertaking a community/village walk that will make it possible to learn about the culture, way of life and traditions of aboriginal Batwa people.

Day 11: To Lake Bunyonyi from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi, a 3-4 hour drive. This Lake is known as the “second deepest in Africa” and is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills.

It is also comprised of numerous islands (about 29) of different sizes, compositions and historical backgrounds. Arrive in time for lunch and ride on a dug-out canoe through the Lake while spotting different bird species.

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park.

Drive 5 hours to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will stay for one night. Be there in the afternoon for lunch and later boat cruise on the Park’s biggest and most popular Lake.

A number of bird species especially African fish eagles, pelicans and shoebills will be seen during this adventure.

Day 13: Road transfer from Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala City, then to Jinja City.

After breakfast, be prepared for another thrilling moment as you enjoy the last sunrise of Lake Mburo National Park.

First have a game drive where high concentrations of Cape buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, Topis, Burchell’s zebras, olive baboons, common elands, vervet monkeys and many other animals will be encountered.

Within this Park, you will explore varying ecosystems. Stop at the Lodge for lunch and leave for Kampala City where you will proceed to Jinja, the adventure City of East Africa.

There is a number of accommodation facilities in Jinja City but for this tour, stay at Jinja Nile Resort, with jaw-dropping views of the Nile.

Day 14: Jinja City Adventure and road trip to Kampala City! Departure.

Your adventure resumes early with breakfast at the reserved place of lodging then transfer to the starting point for the activity (whitewater rafting).

This ends after 1-2 hours (depending on the chosen category), then a 2-hour drive brings you back to Kampala City. This marks the end of the 14 days Uganda Safari Adventure.
