Detailed itinerary for the 3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla Trekking Safari:
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
After your morning breakfast, you will be met by our tour driver who will brief you about your 3 days Mgahinga gorilla trekking safari and thereafter you will embark on your journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park.
You will have a stopover for lunch and thereafter you will proceed with your trip to Mgahinga gorilla national park. As you drive through the local areas of southwestern Uganda you will enjoy the beautiful scenic views, the lush vegetation and the beautiful rolling hills of Uganda.
On arrival you will check in into your respective accommodations then have your dinner and prepare for the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Forest.
After your early morning breakfast your driver will drive you to the park headquarters where you will get briefing about gorilla trekking, the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking.
You will then head into the forest with a well qualified and park ranger then begin your search of these amazing apes. This activity can take about 2-6 hours and on your encounter these gentle giants you will have a maximum of one hour with them to observe them and take those superb gorilla photos.
If you are lucky you may be able to see the golden monkeys’ one of the endangered species while doing this gorilla trekking activity.
After the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, your driver will return you to your hotel for a delicious lunch and a chance to refresh. You can further enrich your day with a cultural encounter with one of the local tribes – Batwa pygmies.
Alternatively, you have the option to embark on a picturesque boat ride on the serene Lake Mutanda or explore the intriguing Mgahinga caves, adding even more depth to your adventure. Thereafter you will then return to the lodge for dinner and then rest.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
Wake up for a delicious and tasty breakfast and thereafter you will head out for your journey back to Kampala having a stopover at the equator and take photos and get some information about Uganda and the equator then also buy some souvenirs.
After you proceed for your journey back to Kampala then you will have your second stopover for lunch and thereafter proceed to Kampala where you may arrive late in the evening.
